    Cruise to Greek Islands

    Rhodes Island - Tsambika & Valley of the 7 Springs
    This excursion is a combination of pilgrimage plus a drive to one of the loveliest areas of Rhodes and is operated without a professional guide. After arrival in Rhodes on Saturday afternoon, you board the coaches and proceed south to the Monastery of the Virgin Mary called "Tsambika" and who is the patron saint of Rhodes. Ample time will be given to visit the rich treasures of the monastery and especially the church, which houses the miraculous icon of the Virgin Mary. We then proceed to the "Valley of the 7 Springs", one of the most beautiful areas of Rhodes. The area is covered with plane trees and the water flowing out of the 7 springs creates beautiful little streams running down the valley.
    We return to the Old City of Rhodes where time will be given for shopping before walking back to the ship, which is always docked a short distance to the Old City.
    Passengers wishing to participate in the Rhodes excursion are advised to make their bookings onboard ship, after embarkation.

    Symi Island - Monastery of Saint Michael Panormitis
    After docking at the picturesque harbour of Symi, passengers will board one of the local boats and follow the western coast of the island to the harbour of Panormitis, where the Monastery of St. Michael Panormitis is situated. Visit the church of the Monastery, which houses the miraculous icon of St. Michael the Archangel, renowned for answering prayers and performing many miracles. Visit the museum that houses some of the relics of the Monastery. As this excursion is a pilgrimage there will be no guide accompanying participants.
    Return to Symi harbour following the same route (In the event that that number of participants is limited, mini buses will be used instead.)
    Passengers wishing to participate in the Panormitis excursion, are advised to make their bookings onboard ship, after embarkation.

    Ayios Nikolaos (Crete)
    The most popular tourist resort of Crete, with lots of taverns and shops scattered around its picturesque port. Get a small taste of the people's hospitality and tradition.

    Heraklion (Crete)
    Herakleion, cosmopolitan yet traditional, the capital of Crete and its principal port, is just three miles away from the ruins of the Palace of Knossos. Sir Arthur Evans discovered this amazing site in 1899, and partially reconstructed the Palace, which is believed to be the mythical Labyrinth of King Minos. Many of the treasures found during these excavations can be seen at the Archaeological Museum in Herakleion.

    Kos
    Kos is known as the home of Hippocrates, the Father of Modern Medicine. The town is a veritable archaeological site of Classical, Hellenistic and Roman ruins. A tour to the ancient Asklepeion and the island's archaeological museum is worthwhile.

    Mykonos
    Mykonos is a quintessential Greek Island, with many tiny chapels scattered over its landscape. An island that comes alive at sunset, with its narrow winding streets, and abundance of restaurants, taverns and shops. An ideal place to enjoy the truly magnificent sunset over the picturesque harbor.

    Mytilini
    One of the best known islands of the Aegean, famous for its olives and seafood. Here you can visit the famous monastery of Saint Raphael, where you can see the tombs of both, St. Raphael and St. Nicholas. A visit to this island is a must!

    Patmos
    This beautiful island is known as the site where St. John the Divine wrote the apocalyptic "Revelations" during his exile from the Roman Empire. The Cave of the Apocalypse, where he lived, is near the site of the Monastery of the same name, which houses many priceless icons and manuscripts.

    Piraeus
    Piraeus, the famous port of Greece, is the entrance to the city of Athens. Shopping, fun, theatres, and sightseeing are just a few of the activities one can enjoy. A destination that has to offer the visitor everything he needs.

    Rhodes
    Rhodes, a jewel of an island, has something to offer everyone. According to Greek Mythology, Rhodes was blessed by the God of Sun "Helios" with 300 days of glorious sunshine each year. The golden sandy beaches the crystal clear water, the variety of ancient Greek monuments (Acropolis, Temple of Apollo, Theatre and Stadium) as well as the cosmopolitan town with it's Venetian castle and inexpensive bazaars give the visitor the opportunity to have an exotic adventure.

    Samos
    The birthplace of Pythagoras, one of ancient Greece's best known scientists, this lovely island offers a variety of both historical and interesting sites, including the Venetian Citadel and the monastery of The Virgin of Spiliani. The capital of Samos, Vathy, is very beautiful, situated in a bay with neoclassic architecture. There are lots of interesting little shops and cafes lining the narrow winding streets.

    Symi
    The very first thing about the island of Symi that impresses the visitor is its architecture. Ghialos is the main port of the island and is one o the most picturesque, attractive and unforgettable harbours in Greece. Hundreds of churches are scattered around the island offering visitors the opportunity to visit them and learn their history. During the 1900s, Symi was the world's most renowned sponge diving centre. The islanders have a reputation for being fearless seamen, expert sponge divers, and skilful shipbuilders.

    Syros
    Syros, the Queen of the Cyclades with Ermoupolis, the capital, offer a choice of sites. Ermoupolis is a paradise for those who enjoy walking through the small cobbled streets to discover the many little shops, cafes, and restaurants, or you can take a short trip around the island. A visit to the Church of Ekatopyliani is also of interest.

    Tinos
    Tinos, part of the Cycladic Islands, is the most significant Greek centre of religious tourism. The capital and main port of the island, also known as Tinos or Chora, is a commercial port with great tourist activity due to the Monastery of "Panaghia Evanghelistria" which houses the miraculous Icon of the Virgin Mary one of three painted by St. Luke. The island is also famous for its unique style of small dovecotes, as well as it's local tavernas and island cuisine, and is now also popular as a tourist center.
